Contract No. F2b-6-2014 - Reconstruction of drainage of the A4 motorway between the Silesian province - Part II Duration of the works: July 2016 – February 2018
The reconstruction of the drainage of the highway A-4 Katowice - Cracow runs through the territory of the Silesian province: km 347 + 500 - 363 + 707.
The project involves the reconstruction of road ditches, reconstruction and construction of storm water drainage and four reservoirs with an area of approximately 2.500 m2, and grit separators.
As part of the project to complete is approx. 1700 m of storm water drainage with diameters from 200 to 1000 mm and execution about 310 m drilling, diameters up to 1000 mm, under the motorway, railway lines and local roads.
Contract No. HM-3-2016 - resurfacing 2016-2017 Duration of the works: February 2016 – November 2017
The object is to replace the existing wearing course on the motorway A4 Katowice - Cracow.
Renovation is divided into 12 sections with a total length of approx. 58,5km.
Traffic in both directions will be in two lanes, in the carriageway under execution redirecting one of them on the second carriageway.
To ensure maximum safety, both directions of traffic will be separated by continuous temporary safety barriers.
During the renovation, which will last until October 2017 will be milled about 660 thousand square m of the old highway pavement. In its place it will be arranged more than 62.8 thousand tons of new bitumen (binder course and wearing course).
It is also foreseen 36.1 thousand square meters of new road markings in thick film technology.
